Ok so we created a Facebook page for the About Nothing Show.  I don’t know a damn thing about Facebook, but I’ve had people ask me if we had a Facebook page so here it is: http://www.facebook.com/pages/About-Nothing-Show/307739462713?ref=nf Stop by, become a fan, leave hate mail, say something nice, I don’t give a shit because I probably won’t read it anyway.  I hate Facebook for many reasons, and this page exists only to promote the show, not because I want to respark a friendship with some person from high school who happened to write “K.I.T.” in my yearbook.

As I mentioned in Episode 15, we’re looking for volunteers to start a Street Team to help spread the word about the show.  It’s pretty simple really, you help us by promoting the show and we help you out with some swag or other cool stuff.  While we work out the details, send us an email or hit me up on Twitter and let us know if you can help and give us some suggestions on how you can help.  Whatever you can do is greatly appreciated and we’ll do what we can to show our gratitude.  We’re setting some goals for this year to reach a certain number of site visitors, certain number of podcast downloads, etc and we can use some help.

Notes:  I think this was our longest show to date.  The vodka made the time pass so fast….. ah the vodka.  This was Round 3 of our vodka challenge, this time bringing in a premium vodka against last week’s winner, Seagrams.  Needless to say, Belvedere was the clear winner, and we ended up the clear losers by the end of the show.  Some interesting news and some great music from Norther, a band from Finland, and City of Fire, featuring members of Fear Factory.  Don’t forget, we also picked a winner for our January contest!  Listen to the show to find out if it was you!  We’re also recruiting for a street team, and I’ll post another blog entry about that.

Notes:  A lot of news in this episode!  We continue our vodka shootout with last week’s winner, Smirnoff, up against Seagrams.  In the end it was a tie, I chose Seagrams and Joe chose Smirnoff.  The next day I wanted to change my vote because the Seagrams gave me a real bad headache BUT we drank all the Smirnoff so Seagrams moves to Round 3 by default.  We mentioned some websites to check out (linked above) and we played a song from a psychobilly band called The Slapbacks and a Beatles super-cover-band called Yellow Matter Custard.
