Notes: The big news – we crown the Ultimate Vodka in Round 5 of our Vodka Challenge! Last week’s winner Siku is up against Christiania, my personal favorite vodka from Norway. This was probably the best competition we’ve had, and it wasn’t an easy decision. And the winner is?…… listen to the show to find out! Vodka really is a stealth alcohol, by the time you start to feel a buzz you’re already done for. You can hear the point in the show where the vodka kicks in. Oh well, it was fun. Next week, it’s back to beer. Quite a bit of news this week. Music from Ensiferum (from Finland) and Porcupine Tree. Please remember to help out the show – donate a couple bucks using the Paypal link on our homepage, help spread the word through a street team, or bring in a few new listeners to the show – every little bit helps! We want to make 2010 a big year for the show, your help is greatly appreciated!

Notes: Wow, this show is non-stop action-packed madness! We announced a new contest, so check my next post for details on that. More bullshit about Goldman Sachs and more misleading news from Ben Bernanke and The Federal Reserve about the future of interest rates. More odd news and the usual false flag news reports. This week’s vodka competition was a good one: Belvedere vs. Siku. Polish vodka vs. Greenlandic vodka. Premium vs. Ultra-premium. Siku was the clear winner here but you really have to listen to the show in order to understand why. Music from Norther (from Finland) and OSI (featuring members of Fate’s Warning and Dream Theater). Don’t forget to help out the show – get on board with our street team or just donate a couple of bucks via Paypal. SPREAD THE WORD!

Notes: I think this was our longest show to date. The vodka made the time pass so fast….. ah the vodka. This was Round 3 of our vodka challenge, this time bringing in a premium vodka against last week’s winner, Seagrams. Needless to say, Belvedere was the clear winner, and we ended up the clear losers by the end of the show. Some interesting news and some great music from Norther, a band from Finland, and City of Fire, featuring members of Fear Factory. Don’t forget, we also picked a winner for our January contest! Listen to the show to find out if it was you! We’re also recruiting for a street team, and I’ll post another blog entry about that.

Notes: A lot of news in this episode! We continue our vodka shootout with last week’s winner, Smirnoff, up against Seagrams. In the end it was a tie, I chose Seagrams and Joe chose Smirnoff. The next day I wanted to change my vote because the Seagrams gave me a real bad headache BUT we drank all the Smirnoff so Seagrams moves to Round 3 by default. We mentioned some websites to check out (linked above) and we played a song from a psychobilly band called The Slapbacks and a Beatles super-cover-band called Yellow Matter Custard.

Notes: Another action-packed show. We don’t mind having guests drop in once in a while and share a thought, but what happens when our guests talk too much? Unexplained microphone malfunctions, apparently. We’ve dedicated the next few weeks to vodka, and this episode begins the competition with Round 1: Absolut vs. Smirnoff. No real contest here….. Also, great blues/rock provided by Ohio-based Hawkins Hill. And finally, we uncovered David Lee Roth’s vocal track from “Runnin’ With The Devil” and madness ensues!
Oh yeah, there was a special code word somewhere in this episode…. something about $50 too….

Notes: Definitely check out the crash test video and decide for yourself if it looks legit or rigged. Fosters was a nice change of pace.
