Notes: I know, I’m a douchebag for getting the show posted so late. Look at it this way, you get what you pay for… This show is full of news, rants, and non-stop commentary, plus the usual mix of serious and oddball stories. Check the links above, there’s some good ones! Live webcams of the volcano in Iceland (plus a strange video game if you’re bored), spooky pictures, crazy Youtube videos, and more. We delve into pale ales with a good Full Sail pale ale this week. More good music from The Panic Channel and The Haunted. Good stuff people! Don’t forget to spread the word, tell your friends and family (don’t worry, most of them won’t think any less of you than they already do), and donate a few bucks to help the show.

Outro music: “8-bit Junkie” by George Wood
Notes: Another BIG show. It seems that there’s always so much to talk about but never enough time in each show to cover it all. We’ve been pushing our shows out to about 1.5 hours now and it’s still not enough. We say good bye to vodka and hello to beer – Blue Moon ale to be exact. More insightful commentary from Cracker and Killer Mike. Music from Ensiferum and a controversial song by Machine Head (dedicated to Dimebag Darrell).

- Featured music: Norther and OSI
Intro music: “Anhelos” by Leechmaster
Outro music: “8-bit Junkie” by George Wood
Notes: Wow, this show is non-stop action-packed madness! We announced a new contest, so check my next post for details on that. More bullshit about Goldman Sachs and more misleading news from Ben Bernanke and The Federal Reserve about the future of interest rates. More odd news and the usual false flag news reports. This week’s vodka competition was a good one: Belvedere vs. Siku. Polish vodka vs. Greenlandic vodka. Premium vs. Ultra-premium. Siku was the clear winner here but you really have to listen to the show in order to understand why. Music from Norther (from Finland) and OSI (featuring members of Fate’s Warning and Dream Theater). Don’t forget to help out the show – get on board with our street team or just donate a couple of bucks via Paypal. SPREAD THE WORD!

From hothardware.com:
“In an odd move aimed to rival Best Buy‘s Geek Squad, Wal-Mart has announced plans to offer its own form of tech support for shoppers. The mega-retailer has confirmed that it has started up a partnership with N.E.W. Customer Service Companies in order to offer in-home setup services to those who buy their gear from Wally World. In fact, the new offering will be in place prior to the holiday season getting fully underway, so there’s a good chance things will take off this winter. Wal-Mart customers will be able to buy service plans on a prepaid card ranging from $99 to $399, which honestly sounds like a curious way to pay for in-home installation services. At any rate, the services available range from standard television setup to wiring an entire home theater system or home network, and all plans include preliminary consultation and a tutorial after installation is completed.”

Given how cheap Walmart is regarding wages, I can only imagine the quality of people working in the “Wally Squad”.
According to a recent article in Reuters, Best Buy claims they’re not going to make drastic cuts to lure in the customers during the holidays. I guess Best Buy didn’t get the memo…. you know, the one about unemployment creeping up to 10% nationally? I’m sure by December unemployment will hit 10%. From what I remember, last year was crazy for people buying flat-panel TVs and $300 netbooks, so I seriously doubt the demand will be the same this year. The obvious solution is don’t buy if you don’t have the money, but if you do, then buy from Amazon or Costco. Best Buy can go the way of Circuit City and CompUSA for all I care.
